Information you provide
Depending on the features you use, NextAct may process:
- Account information, such as an email address and identifiers supplied by Apple or Google sign-in.
- Profile information, including a nickname, biography, and avatar.
- Journal content, including photos, photo notes, voice memos, transcripts, mood check-ins, tags, AI conversations, and generated diary entries.
- Support communications that you choose to send us.
Information collected automatically
We collect limited technical and usage information needed to operate and improve the service. This can include app version, device platform, session identifiers, language and time-zone settings, feature events, diagnostic information, and network information such as an IP address received by our servers.
How we use information
- Provide sign-in, synchronization, timeline, history, and account features.
- Analyze photos and voice memos, generate journal entries, and provide AI conversations you request.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, and understand feature reliability.
- Respond to support requests and meet legal obligations.
Service providers
We use service providers to run NextAct, including cloud hosting and object storage, AI processing, and sign-in services. Current categories include Alibaba Cloud services for storage and AI processing, and Apple and Google for sign-in when you select those options. These providers process information under their own terms and our operational instructions, as applicable.
Sharing and sale
We do not sell your personal information. We share information with service providers only as needed to operate the features described above, or when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. You can delete individual records in the app. You can also delete your account from Profile → Edit Profile → Delete Account; this disables the account, revokes active sessions, and deactivates linked sign-in identifiers. Some information may remain for a limited period in restricted backups or where retention is legally required.
Your choices
You can choose whether to grant camera, photo-library, and microphone permissions in iOS Settings. You can review and delete journal records in the app, sign out, or delete your account. You may also contact us to ask about access, correction, or deletion of your information, subject to applicable law.
Security and international processing
We use administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No system is completely secure. Information may be processed in countries other than where you live, subject to applicable safeguards and law.
Children
NextAct is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us so we can address it.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
